Erikson Cottage is continuously striving for sustainability and aims to minimise its impact on the environment.

• They compost and sort waste
• They have water from their well
• They heat the premises with modern air/water heat pumps
• They clean with nature-friendly cleaning agents in their accommodation

At Erikson Cottage, they offer two unique types of accommodation: their thoughtfully designed Glasshouses and their beloved Ryggåsstuga.

A short walk from their farm, you’ll find the glasshouses. Glasshouse “Sjön”, with its private sauna, is located just a few dozen meters from the lake. Glasshouse “Sjöblicken” is positioned with a view over the lake, and Glasshouse “Skogen” is carefully nestled in the deep forest. The glasshouses are perfect for those who want to relax, get up close to nature, and stay undisturbed.

Adjacent to the farm bakery is their beautiful and romantic Ryggåsstugan, built at the end of the 18th century and carefully renovated in recent years. Here, you’ll live comfortably with a wood-burning stove, shower, and toilet, as well as a small kitchen with a refrigerator for those who wish to prepare their own meals. Cosy up by the fire and enjoy the silence and tranquillity this cottage offers. Directly connected to the Ryggåsstugan, you’ll find a greenhouse and a lush garden to enjoy.

In the farm café, they offer not only truly delicious treats baked in their own farm bakery but also a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere. When the weather permits, you can sit outside in the garden, enjoying the tranquillity with a good cup of coffee or tea and freshly baked goods. If hunger strikes, they also serve light meals, such as their version of smørrebrød (perhaps accompanied by a cold, locally produced beer or a glass of wine) or burgers made with locally sourced meat – naturally served with their stone-oven baked burger buns.

Erikson Cottage love local produce and go to great lengths to provide the best ingredients the season has to offer. Vegetarian, gluten-free, and lactose-free options are available.

In Glasshouse Sjön, you live 30 meters from the lakeshore and enjoy the water’s shifts from mirror-like calmness to the more dramatic weather days when the waves roar and the wind makes the treetops sway.

Covered in moss and nestled in the woods, during your stay at Glasshouse Skogen, you have your own green oasis in the forests of Västergötland.

In Glasshouse Sjöblicken, the open location in the sparse pine forest, with views over Lagmanshagasjön to the west, gives you an airy and liberating feeling in the accommodation.
